PREZ SEZ NOVEMBER 2014

October — Gone like a blurr. Get it – October – Blurr. Trick or treat.

November is here. Turkey Day etc. Here we go.

November is, as in the past our last Club Meeting of the year.

At our November Meeting we will have our annual “Romeo Raffle”. Bring money, buy tickets and win prizes. Trudy Romeo will have great prizes to give away. Let’s have a good Club turnout for this meeting. Hope to ALL of you there.

This is your last “reminder” regarding your car pictures. Here are the people that need to mail or bring a picture of your car to Karen Senz by our November Meeting (Nov. 20th.). We need them so we can draw 2 names to be on our Happening T-Shirts.
Adamson, Barraza, Brett, Capella, Deering, Holmes, Newlin, Dan Niedens, Plackemeier, Roth, Willers, Wright, Smith.

The drawing for the 2 names on the Happening T-Shirts will be at our January Meeting.

Patty Knutson Gave me an email that she wanted to share with all of you. There is a new do it yourself auto shop located in Oceanside. It has 5 new lifts as well as shop tools. He is also offering a club discount to us. If you want to work on your car and need a lift and tools here is the info.

On Saturday October 18th. a group of us took the Metrolink from Oceanside to Union Station L.A. From there we walked across the street to Olvera St. where we walked around for a while. We then walked up the street to Fillipis where we all had there famous French Dip Sandwiches plus other “treats”. After lunch we walked back to Olvera St. Bud and Barb Fosdick went to Chinatown which is also close by. At 2 P.M. we all caught the Metrolink back to Oceanside. Those of us that were there were— Bob/Trudy Romeo, Richard Quaternik/Loretta Hines, Myself/Joan Schneider, Bud/Barb Fosdick, Ron/Cathy Lewis and George/Peggy Rumble. Sorry that more members could not go, it was a nice day.

Sunday, October 26th. was the Pal Joey’s Car Show. Members in attendance were – Myself, Chauncey Newlin, Bob Romeo, Dick Knutson and Vinnie Ciccia. Chauncey Newlin did win a Trophy for “Most Memorable” with his 56 Plymouth. The only problem was that his “memory” got the best of him and he “forgot” to stay for the Trophy Presentation”. It took a while but he did find his way home.

Our new web site is almost ready to go. I also need pictures of everyone and their cars so we can put them on the new web site. More info at our November Meeting.
